Back in the Summer of 2019, I wasn’t really looking for a new healing modality to work with as I’m happy with my current portfolio, nor was I needing another earning opportunity. However, when I saw my friends Olga and Gary, founders of The Forest Bathing Institute (TFBI), were offering their second intake of Guide training, I just couldn’t resist.
This morning, as the last lyrics of ‘Hark the Herald, Angels Sing’ faded away on my car radio, I was briefly transported back to 1998. I could hear my Reiki teacher recommending that I call in the Parking Angel should I need to a manifest a space in an overflowing car park. Frankly, at the time, I thought she‘d lost the plot; as surely angels were ‘just something for Christmas’.

There’s no denying that Covid-19 has been devastating on so many levels, but have we learned anything valuable from the experience? Perhaps constructive lessons about community, about care, about environment and wildlife, and about the power of human connection to overcome enforced seclusion and isolation, even when meeting online. While needing to socially distance, in some ways people have come together as never before.
